2-Way text messaging pagers receive both text and numbers.
Text messages are sent directly via email or through a
dispatch service. Numeric messages are sent via a dial-up
number, just like traditional numeric pagers.
2-Way pagers also can transmit back to the system, allowing
them to send messages to other email addresses and to
confirm delivery of a page.
2-Way service includes Assured Messaging, which means the
system will keep trying to send a page for up to 96 hours or
until the page is received by your pager. You'll never miss a
page again! Callers can leave either an Email message or a
numeric message. However, to have messages transmitted to
your pager, there are two ways to message you. Email may be
used from any email program or if needed a sub- scription to
an answering service equipped to handle text messaging
transmission can be used. An 2-Way text messaging pager
can also receive standard Numeric pages.
